When Summer time approaches, many focus on the skin of their face – the skin on the body doesn’t get enough attention as it should.
To keep your body’s skin healthy, try out the
following tips this season!
1.
Don’t forget to moisturize!
You may be tempted to avoid moisturizing your body
because your skin feels sweaty and sticky. However, it is extremely important
to moisturize your skin to make up for the dryness caused by heat and UV rays. You
can use body lotions that have a light texture such as Dermalogica’s
Active Moist. It is essential
to keep your skin healthy and hydrated by preventing moisture loss.
2.
One Word: Exfoliate
In order to have a summer-ready body, you should
exfoliate with a good, natural body scrub. You can check out St. Ives Apricot
Fresh Skin Body Scrub or even make
your own body scrub at home using natural ingredients!
3.
Draw yourself a Peppermint bath!
To start off, essential oils are naturally
occurring, volatile aromatic compounds found in seeds, bark, stems, flowers,
and other parts of plants. They have been used for beauty treatment and
health-care practices for many years. The perfect way to cool down your body
after a long, stressful, and hot day is to draw a bath with peppermint
essential oil. It not only gives a cooling sensation but also has a calming
effect on the body. Just ensure your essential oil is not a fake. I recommend
adding 6-8 drops of Conatural’s
Peppermint Essential Oil
to your bath.
4.
Load up on Fruits
This is probably something that is reinforced again
and again. However, you should definitely consume fruits that have high water
content in order to keep your skin healthy naturally. Fruits like watermelons
are delicious and they help keep your body healthy and hydrated throughout the
season!
5.
Reduce Sun Exposure
Finally, try and reduce the time you spend
outside where you are directly exposed to the sun. You don’t have to be stuck
in doors though. Travel with an umbrella or a sun hat to shield yourself from
the damaging rays of the sun.
Great tips! Summer skincare is so important. Have you tried Salicylic Acid Serum? It helps control oil and prevent breakouts!
